the super bowl never looked so chic!

superbowl 52 is right around the corner. it may feel like a scene right out of the movie groundhog day, as the patriots once again play for the coveted championship title, but hopefully the philadelphia eagles will be ready to take flight and offer an exciting game. if you’re not a die-hard pats or eagles fan, watching the game might not be a priority, but here at bettie hq one thing is for sure, we love food, we love fun and we never miss an opportunity to throw a party! no matter who you’re rooting for, anyone can come together over a platter of chicken wings, chips and dip, a cold drink and time with friends.

get game day ready with some of our favorites in décor and delicacies. here’s our list of must haves in fashion, food, and flair to make your super bowl shindig full of fabulousness.

fashion
our pro tip: wear something that you can move in. it is a football game after all! you don’t want to split a seam when you jump up to cheer. you can be comfortable and still look cute. flowy is a plus, since it’s inevitable, you’ll be enjoying party food and bevs the entire afternoon. our poly-knit dresses and tops offer just the right amount of comfort and style with a whole lot of give. a little stretch goes a long way.

our pick: the black poly-knit mandy dress. this dress is the go-to black dress for so many occasions. it pairs perfectly with a statement necklace and lightweight shawl in your favorite team colors. an understated ruffled trim at the bottom is both fun and flirty.

food
one of our go to party dishes is “white trash dip”. although it’s name may not sound glamourous, you’ll never leave a party with any leftover. warning! this dip is addictive.

don’t question the calories, it’s a base of cream cheese for goodness sakes, and besides… calories don’t count on the weekend! find our recipe below!

white trash dip

ingredients
• 1 package roll of breakfast sausage (ex. jimmy dean, etc.)
• 1 10oz can of rotel tomatoes
• 2 8 oz packages of cream cheese

preparation
put sausage in medium saucepan and constantly stir and break up in order to properly brown. do not drain. put rotel and cream cheese in the crock-pot on high while your sausage cooks. once sausage is completely browned, add it to the crock-pot on top of cheese and rotel. do not stir. let that cook and meld together until cheese is completely melted. stir occasionally and switch to low. there should be no lumps of cheese. there is no need for any other spices for this recipe. trust me, don’t mess with perfection, it really is that easy! serve with your preferred tortilla chip. we recommend frito scoops for ultimate flavor!

flair
this sunday, don’t feel like you have to break the bank to decorate every inch of the house. focus your efforts on the food table as that is where your party guests will hang between plays. a colorful tablecloth adds just the right pop of color. sprinkle in some football themed accessories for just the right touch. don’t forget the cold drinks and snacks that will last all night!

it only happens once a year, enjoy your time with friends and if football’s not your thing, that’s ok. focus on the food and remember there’s always the commercials… and justin timberlake!
