happy 2017! a new year is a new start filled with many resolutions, and the number one resolution seems to always be fitness related. whether you need to drop a few unwanted pounds or want a healthier lifestyle, we can easily relate after all the holiday feasting! that’s why we are sharing several of our favorite activities and workouts that are tried and true. these methods of fitness are not only sure to burn calories and get your adrenaline pumping, but they are fun too!
- tennis, anyone? we love a good tennis match, and the social aspect of the game doesn’t hurt either (working out is always more fun when friends are involved). you may be out of breath from sprinting back and forth across the court, but your lean limbs will thank you later.
- meet us at the barre! ballet inspired barre classes have been growing in popularity and for good reason. the classes are a blend of ballet and pilates, so prepare to strengthen your core. you won’t be doing dance routines like a ballet dancer, but you may end up with similar longer, leaner limbs.
- pool time! swimming is the best form of cardio. a full-body workout that is easy on our muscles and joints, without causing overheating or sweating? sign us up!
- spin cycle! indoor cycling classes have taken off in a big way & they have all the benefits of a high intensity cardio workout. we’re not going to lie, this one hurts (at first). your legs will feel like jelly after the first few classes, but don’t be surprised at the upper body exercises you will learn while on the bike. the fun, upbeat music and fast pace keep us going back week after week!
